The Kloof CPF will absolutely continue to be the heartbeat of the Kloof community.  The CPF structure is mandated under The SAPS as the communication link between The SAPS and the community, and is a vital part of our community.  By separating what falls outside of the CPF mandate into a formalized structure the additional security infrastructure alone will benefit both the CPF and the Kloof SAPS and their functions within the community.  Both the Kloof CPF and the Community Management Company will work hand in hand for the benefit of the community.

1. Will the Kloof CPF be replaced?

2. Does this replace your private security?

No it doesn’t, we don’t respond to individual alarm activation’s and response requirements – however we will provide back up to both the security responders and Kloof CPF patrollers on radio and monitor cameras in the area of activation to assist.

3. Why have we followed the existing Kloof sectors in the roll out?

Different areas in Kloof have different requirements, by rolling out by sector it ensures that each sectors requirements are catered for.

We looked at the SRA option and felt it would limit what we would like to offer to our community, we have however worked closely with eThekwini to get approval on several aspects which is unprecedented.  An SRA is created and overseen by The City

8. What happens with those who don't want to sign up as members?

  • Non-members will still be on the Kloof CPF Whatsapp groups as normal, however won’t have access to the membership section / app on this site.

  • Any municipal faults & service related issues (water leaks / water meter issues / individual electrical faults / overgrown verges / DSW issues etc) need to be reported & followed up directly to eThekweni if resident is a non-member.
